Suzanne Tighe, President, has a Master’s degree in Elementary Education, with a major in reading and language arts. After teaching second grade, Suzanne spent time at Laidlaw Brothers and HBJ/HRW. While at HBJ/HRW, she oversaw the development of a basal reading program as Executive Editor.
After spending 13 years overseeing the editorial department in a development house, Suzanne began TPS with her husband as her business partner.
Austin Tighe, Senior Vice President, has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and a Master of Arts degree in Reading. After teaching high school in New Jersey and New York, Austin began his career in educational publishing at Laidlaw Brothers. After eleven years, Austin moved to Harcourt Brace Jovanovich (HBJ) as Senior Executive Editor of Reading and then Director of Publications, Midwest.
When HBJ purchased Holt, Rinehart, and Winston (HRW), Austin moved to Austin, Texas, to become Vice President of Editorial for Holt. top
Georgianne Urban, Vice President of Editorial, has ten years’ experience as a classroom teacher and over twenty-five years’ experience in educational publishing. During her career in publishing, she has served as national program consultant, regional coordinator, staff editor, and editorial content manager. Currently, Georgianne manages content and staff for client projects, spanning all subject areas and all grade levels, from kindergarten through high school. top
Celia Argiriou, Vice President of Product Development, has spent over thirty years in the publishing industry with both basal and supplemental companies.
After spending thirteen years at HBJ and holding titles of Executive Editor and Director of Reading and Language Arts, Celia switched her focus to supplemental publishing. Working first for The Weekly Reader, and later Modern Curriculum Press, she oversaw the development of several national programs.
Most recently, Celia was Publisher at Pearson Learning Group.
Kevin Tighe, Vice President of Operations, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. Kevin started his career in the pharmaceutical industry as a sales representative in 1992. He spent the next 13 years with two of the industry leaders in various marketing and operations positions. He joined TPS in October 2005, bringing his years of business experience to the company.top
Fran Fritzmann, Vice President of Finance, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources Management and obtained her CPA certification in 1993. With six years of development-house experience, Fran joined TPS in 2006. top
Kim Sindelar, Vice President of Design and Production, has more than twenty years' experience in the graphics industry. She has been working in educational publishing development since 1994, spending most of that time managing all aspects of page production. Kim joined TPS in 2003. top
Manolo Rodríguez, Director of Spanish and Bilingual Projects, started his publishing career with Scott Foresman, later working for Macmillan/McGraw Hill in New York, and then as Executive Editor for Bilingual and ESL at Scholastic.
Manolo most recently was Editorial Director for the Department of Bilingual Programs at Scott Foresman. He oversaw the development of Social Studies, Science, and Math programs, and supervised a staff of 20. top
